  • Potatoes (Medium sized) - 5
  • Tomatoes (Medium sized) - 4
  • Onions - 4
  • Grated Coconut - 1 cup
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil -2 tbsp
  • Milk (boiled) - 1 tbsp
  • For garnishing: Chopped coriander
  • How to Make Aloo Tomato Saag:

    1. Chop potatoes into small cubes after removing the skin.
    2. Chop onions and tomatoes into small pieces.
    3. Grind the grated coconut into a smooth paste.
    4. Heat oil in a tava and add the ginger garlic paste to it.
    5. When the paste turns brown add the chopped onions.
    6. After the onions are fried, add the chopped potatoes with a pinch of turmeric and fry for some time.
    7. When the potatoes become semi-soft add the chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, salt and add a glass of water and cook covered for a few minutes.
    8. Add the coconut paste and milk.
    9. When potatoes are cooked add the coriander powder.
    10. Garnish with chopped coriander.
    11. Serve with hot puris, chapattis, plain rice or pulav.
