  • 250 g - strawberries
  • 1.5 cup castor sugar
  • 1.5 cup - cream
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup - boiling water
  • 2 tsp - gelatine
  • 2- egg whites

How to Make American Strawberry Mousse

  • Place washed strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and cream into blender.
  • Place boiling water into a small bowl. Add gelatine and stir until it has dissolved.
  • Add this to the strawberries in the blender.
  • Blend on medium speed for 30 seconds or until mixture is just combined.
  • Beat the egg whites in the bowl until soft peaks form. Add strawberry mixture and stir until combined.
  • Pour mixture into four individual serving dishes. Refrigerate until firm.
