Ingredients

  • 10 - gooseberries (amla)
  • 250g - green seedless Grapes
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 2 or 3 pinches - salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 drop - green food color (optional)

How to Make Amla Grape Juice

  • Wash, drain, drop gooseberries into boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain, cool, deseed, chop coarsely.
  • Add grapes, run in mixie to make a smooth paste.
  • Add sugar, colour, 800 ml. chilled water, run again till smooth and frothy.
  • Add salt, pepper, mix and strain to remove fibre and skins.
  • Pour and serve chilled or with a small dollop of ice-cream on top if desired.
