Ingredients

  • Chicken drumsticks - 12
  • Green chillies, finely chopped - 25 or more
  • Ginger, grated - 2 tsp
  • Garlic, grated - 2 tsp
  • Onions, finely chopped - 3
  • Grind the below to make into a powder:
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/4 tsp
  • Saunf - 1/4 tsp
  • Kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon - 3 big pieces
  • Cloves - 5
  • Kaloova - 1 tsp

How to Make Andhra Style Chilli Chicken

  • Heat oil and fry the onions till it starts to brown slightly.
  • Add cleaned chicken and chopped green chillies and cook till all the juices are nearly evaporated.
  • Add grated ginger and garlic and fry for a few minutes.
  • When the chicken is nearly done, add the powder and fry till fragrant.
  • Add water and simmer till the chicken is cooked and most of the water is evaporated.
  • Serve hot with rice.
