Ingredients

  • 2 cups - raw Jackfruit pieces
  • 4 tbsp - ground coconut/paste
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - Garlic and Ginger paste
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 Onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 piece - Cinnamon
  • How to Make Anglo-Indian Jackfruit Curry:

    1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and saute onions, cloves and cinnamon for a few minutes.
    2. Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few minutes.
    3. Now add all the other ingredients along with the raw jack fruit pieces and 3 cups of water and mix well.
    4. Pressure cook for 15 minutes.
    5. Serve hot with plain rice or chapattis.
