Ingredients

  • 3 - onions, chopped
  • 1 sprig , Curry leaves
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 - tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup - ground Coconut paste
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - coriander leaves, chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Ingredients for the Mince Balls (Koftas):
  • 1/2 kg - minced Meat
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • A small bunch - coriander leaves, chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Anglo-Indian Mince Ball Curry:

    1. Heat oil in a large pan and fry the onions till golden brown.
    2. Add the ginger garlic paste and the curry leaves and fry for some time.
    3. Now add the chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and coconut and fry for a few minutes till oil separates from the mixture.
    4. Now add the tomato puree and salt and simmer for some time.
    5. Add sufficient water and bring to boil.
    6. Meanwhile mix the spice powder, salt, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder and coriander leaves with the mince and form into small balls.
    7. When the curry boils, slowly drop in the mince balls carefully one by one.
    8. Simmer on slow heat for 20 minutes till the balls are cooked and the gravy is not too thick.
    9. Serve hot.
