  • 90 g - Rolled oats
  • 150 g - Plain flour
  • 220 g - Caster Sugar
  • 60 g - Desiccated coconut
  • 125 g - Butter chopped
  • 1 tbsp - Golden Syrup
  • 11/2 tsp - Bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tbsp - Boiling water.

How to Make Anzac Biscuits with Rolled Oats

  • Preheat the oven to 150 degree Celsius.
  • Grease and line a baking tray.
  • Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut in a large bowl.
  • Meanwhile stir butter and the syrup in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  • Now combine the soda and the boiling water.
  • Add this to the butter mixture.
  • Stir it into the dry ingredients while warm.
  • Now place the mixture on the tray. Pour a levelled tablespoon for each portion.
  • Place them 5 cm apart and press lightly.
  • Bake for 25 mins.
  • Remove the biscuits while warm.
  • Cool and serve.
