Ingredients

  • 1 cup - fresh shelled peas
  • 1/2 cup - Paneer cubes
  • 1/2 cup - roasted cashews
  • 4 - Tomatoes
  • 1 - Onion finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic-cilantro paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Clove powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp -cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 cup - water

How to Make Appetising Matar Paneer

  • Grind the roasted cashews to a fine powder.
  • Heat oil in a saucepan. Add and saute finely chopped onions till translucent.
  • Add the ginger-garlic-cilantro paste and cook for few seconds.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook till they soften.
  • Stir in cashew powder, the other masala powders, salt, turmeric and chilli powder.
  • Let these cook for some time.
  • Finally add the green peas and paneer cubes, and about a cup of water.
  • Mix well and simmer covered for about 5 to 10 mins until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve with rice, parathas or chapattis.
