How to Make Apple Chutney in White Vinegar

  • Put sugar, water, vinegar, in a pan.
  • Bring to a boil, add cloves.
  • Slice (peel if desired) apples into 1 inch chips.
  • Add to boiling liquid.
  • Add all other ingredients.
  • Simmer till the apple are cooked and the solution gets sticky.
  • Bottle in sterile jar.
  • Serve with hot scones, buns, or with canapes.
