  • 900g- apples
  • 100g - sugar
  • 1 pinch - ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tbsps. lemon juice
  • 100g -flour
  • 50g - softened butter
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 150g - Raspberries

How to Make Apple crumble

  • Peel and cube the apples and put in a saucepan with the lemon juice, 50g of sugar, cinnamon and 100ml of water.
  • Cover and cook for 15 mins (or 5 mins. in a microwave).
  • Sift the flour into the processor bowl with the baking powder, 60g of sugar, the butter cut into pieces and 1 tbsp of cold water, and mix in short bursts on speed 10 using a smooth mixture.
  • Pre-heat the oven at 220 degrees C.
  • Pour off the cooking juice from the apples and put apples in an oven dish.
  • Add raspberries on top, cover with crumble mixture.
  • Bake for 30 mins. until the crumble is golden brown.
  • Apple crumble can be served warm or cold with a little fresh cream.
  • It is also delicious served the next day.
