Ingredients

  • For the cover: 150 g - fat (margarine/butter)
  • 200 g - flour
  • 50 g - Sugar
  • For the crumble: 100 g - flour
  • 50 g - fat (margarine/ butter)
  • 50 g - Sugar
  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 dozen - apples
  • 50 g - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - Cinnamon powder

How to Make Apple Pie

  • Sieve the flour. Rub in the fat until you get a bread crumb-like consistency.
  • Add sugar.
  • Make a soft dough adding cold water and keep aside.
  • For the crumble:
  • Sieve the flour and rub in the fat.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Leave the mixture dry.
  • For the filling:
  • Peel the apples and finely slice them.
  • Add sugar, cinnamon powder and a few drops of lime juice.
  • Roll out the pastry to 1/8 inch thickness
  • Line the bottom of a greased souffle tin or a pie tin.
  • Arrange all the apple slices and sprinkle over with crumble.
  • Bake at 150 degrees till done.
