Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups - flour
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • 4 ounces - butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • For filling:
  • 6 - apples
  • 1/3 cup - butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup - sugar
  • 1/3 cup - raisins
  • 1/2 - lemon, peel and juice
  • 4 - eggs

How to Make Apple Raisin Christmas Pie

  • Mix flour, sugar, and vanilla essence.
  • Finely fold the butter into the mixture.
  • Stir in water and quickly work to a dough.
  • Press it out in a wide, pie dish with a diameter of 12 inches.
  • Pre-bake the pie crust in microwave at 400 Fahrenheit for about 10 mins.
  • Stir fat and sugar for the filling.
  • Add raisins, lemon juice and peel.
  • Part egg yolks from whites and stir the yolks into the batter.
  • Beat the egg whites stiff and gently fold them down.
  • Peel, core, and cut the apples in wedges.
  • Put them on the pie crust in a nice pattern and pour the batter on top.
  • Bake in microwave at 400 Fahrenheit for about 30 mins.
  • Cool and serve with whipped cream.
