Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups - flour
  • 2 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 4 ounces - Butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • For filling:
  • 6 - apples
  • 1/3 cup - Butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup - Sugar
  • 1/3 cup - Raisins
  • 1/2 - lemon, peel and juice
  • 4 - eggs
  • How to Make Apple Raisin Christmas Pie:

    1. Mix flour, sugar, and vanilla essence.
    2. Finely fold the butter into the mixture.
    3. Stir in water and quickly work to a dough.
    4. Press it out in a wide, pie dish with a diameter of 12 inches.
    5. Pre-bake the pie crust in microwave at 400 Fahrenheit for about 10 mins.
    6. Stir fat and sugar for the filling.
    7. Add raisins, lemon juice and peel.
    8. Part egg yolks from whites and stir the yolks into the batter.
    9. Beat the egg whites stiff and gently fold them down.
    10. Peel, core, and cut the apples in wedges.
    11. Put them on the pie crust in a nice pattern and pour the batter on top.
    12. Bake in microwave at 400 Fahrenheit for about 30 mins.
    13. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
