Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - beef with bones cut into medium size pieces
  • 1 - small cabbage, coarsely cut
  • 3 - medium size carrots scrape and cut into medium size pieces
  • 6 to 8 - string beans, broken into bits
  • 2 - potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 3 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 - onions, chopped thickly
  • 2 tsp - pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp - chopped mint
  • 2 liters - water

How to Make Army Camp Soup

  • Boil all the above ingredients together on high heat for some time.
  • Lower heat and simmer for 2 or 3 hours till the meat is well cooked and the broth is thick and a good brown colour.
  • Serve with Bread or buns.
