Ingredients

  • 1 cup - moong dal
  • 1 cup - Wheat flour
  • 15 cup - Ghee
  • 25 cup - Sugar
  • 25 cup - water

How to Make Asokha Halwa

  • Allow the water to boil. Add Moong dal to the boiling water and allow it to cook thoroughly. Mash the cooked dal nicely.
  • Add sugar to the dal and mix it well.
  • In a frying pan, add ghee and fry cashews.
  • Now add wheat flour and fry it, till the color changes to brown.
  • Add the moong dal mix to the frying pan and mix evenly with the wheat flour.
  • Keep on stirring it so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • When the ghee starts to separate, it is almost done.
  • Dry Grapes, Cardamom can also be added.
