  • Rice - 3 cups
  • Beaten rice -1 cup
  • Buttermilk - 5 cups
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Avalakki Dosa

  • Wash rice and beaten rice and soak this mixture in buttermilk for at least 5 hours.
  • Grind this mixture to a fine paste with salt.
  • Heat a tawa and spread a tsp of oil.
  • Pour in a spoonful of batter on the tawa and spread it.
  • Add oil to the edges if necessary.
  • Turn the dosa and cook on the other side.
  • Serve.
