Ingredients

  • 2 cups - vegetables (hard veggies like green plantain, chayote squash, drumstick preferable. Potato and carrots can be used), cut into long pieces
  • Tofu - 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Jeera - 1/4 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • 2 sprigs - Kari pattha

How to Make Avial with Tofu

  • Boil the vegetables in water with salt and turmeric.
  • Grind tofu, yogurt, green chilli and jeera.
  • Add it to the boiled vegetables.
  • Heat it for just 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with karipattha.
