Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Baby onions/Madras onions, peeled
  • 1- 2 sprigs- Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • 1 cup - Tamarind juice
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut paste
  • 2 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp - Oil
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Baby Onion Curry

  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Then add the baby onions and saute for a few mins.
  • Now add all the other ingredients and mix well. Add some more water if required.
  • Simmer on low heat until the onions are tender.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
