Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Baby onions/Madras onions, peeled
  • 1- 2 sprigs- Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 cup - Tamarind juice
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut paste
  • 2 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp - Oil
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Baby Onion Curry:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
    2. Then add the baby onions and saute for a few mins.
    3. Now add all the other ingredients and mix well. Add some more water if required.
    4. Simmer on low heat until the onions are tender.
    5. Serve hot with steamed rice.
