How to Make Badam Jo Seero (Almond Halwa)

  • Grind the almonds into small coarse pieces.
  • Lightly heat ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel.
  • Saute the almonds, wheat flour and cardamoms on a low flame till the almonds turn golden brown.
  • Stir continuously so that it does not stick to the bottom of vessel. Add milk and saffron.
  • Continue cooking and when the mixture is fairly dry, add the sugar and cook for a further 10-15 minutes on a low flame.
  • Place the vessel on a preheated tava and let it simmer 10 minutes.
