  • Maida - 1.5 cup
  • Vanaspathi - 5 tbsp
  • Cooking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Almond for decoration

How to Make Badhushah

  • In a plate rub vanaspathi and soda.
  • When It becomes flaky, sprinkle maida and blend gently using fingertips. Sprinkle little water and make a soft dough.
  • Cover the dough with the wet cloth for 5 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into medium sized balls.
  • Flatten each ball and make a small hole in the centre. Prepare all badhushas and keep it aside closed.
  • Heat vanaspathi in kadai until it melts and moderate heat.
  • Deep Fried the badushas with care.
  • Remove the badhushas from the kadai when it turns golden in colour keep them aside.
  • Make sugar syrup and put the badhushas in hot syrup and pour the remaining syrup on badhushas.
  • Garnish with almonds
