  • Maida - 1.5 cup
  • Vanaspathi - 5 tbsp
  • Cooking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Almond for decoration
  • How to Make Badhushah:

    1. In a plate rub vanaspathi and soda.
    2. When It becomes flaky, sprinkle maida and blend gently using fingertips. Sprinkle little water and make a soft dough.
    3. Cover the dough with the wet cloth for 5 minutes.
    4. Divide the dough into medium sized balls.
    5. Flatten each ball and make a small hole in the centre. Prepare all badhushas and keep it aside closed.
    6. Heat vanaspathi in kadai until it melts and moderate heat.
    7. Deep Fried the badushas with care.
    8. Remove the badhushas from the kadai when it turns golden in colour keep them aside.
    9. Make sugar syrup and put the badhushas in hot syrup and pour the remaining syrup on badhushas.
    10. Garnish with almonds
