Ingredients

  • 1 - Bael fruit (stone apple)
  • 2 liters - water
  • 1 cup - ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tsp - roasted cumin powder (optional)

How to Make Bael Sharbat (Wood Apple Drink)

  • Break open bael fruit, scrape out the pulp with the help of knife.
  • Take water in a vessel and add the pulp.
  • Wear gloves and mash the pulp in water.
  • Mash till all pulp is scraped out from fruit and only the seeds are left.
  • Squeeze the juice from pulp and discard that pulp side by side.
  • Strain it in a big strainer.
  • Add sugar and cumin powder (optional), and mix well till the sugar dissolves.
  • Add lemon juice and stir well.
  • Now add ice cubes and serve chilled.
