Ingredients

  • Masoor dal - 500 g
  • Onion, choppesd-1
  • Coriander - 1 bunch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Green Chillies - 4
  • Tamarind - 2 tbsp
  • Jaggery - 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

How to Make Bafori

  • Soak the masoor dal overnight.
  • Grind it coarsely with the green chillies and a little water.
  • To this coarse paste, add salt, chopped onions, coriander and make small balls.
  • Place in a steamer and steam until done.
