Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Fish (boneless preferred)
  • 2 - Big onions (fried in oil and made into a paste)
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric
  • 2 tbsp - Chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - Methi powder (fenugreek seeds)
  • A lime sized ball of tamarind (soaked in water)
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Baked Fish Masala

  • Take 5 tbsp of oil and fry the onion paste, add ginger garlic paste, turmeric and fry till it turns red.
  • Add chilli powder and salt, pour the tamarind pulp and boil for 5-10 minutes.
  • Put in the fish pieces and boil for 5 minutes.
  • Add coriander powder, remove from fire and sprinkle jeera and fenugreek seed powder.
  • Pour into a baking dish.
  • Preheat oven at 200 degrees C and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle little coriander and serve cooled.
