  • 300 g - Paneer (cream cheese)
  • 2 Onions (chopped)
  • 1 cup - Green peas
  • 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup - grated cheese
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 3 Cloves
  • 4 large Potatoes
  • oil
  • How to Make Baked Paneer with Potatoes:

    1. Deep fry the paneer and keep aside. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the onions, then add the turmeric, garam masala, cloves and peppercorns.
    2. Fry for a few minutes, then add the tomatoes and green peas.
    3. Simmer with a little water until the peas are cooked.
    4. Grease a baking dish and place the fried paneer evenly in it.
    5. Spread the fried pea mixture evenly over the paneer and keep aside.
    6. Meanwhile boil, peel and mash the tomatoes with salt and chilli powder.
    7. Cover the paneer and peas mixture with the mashed potatoes and sprinkle over the grated cheese.
    8. Bake in a moderate oven (177 degrees C) until the top is golden brown.
