Ingredients

  • corn flour - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1 liter
  • condensed milk - 1 cup
  • eggs - 3 large
  • egg yolks - 3
  • cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • grated nutmeg - 1 big pinch
  • vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
  • rose essence few drops
  • Pistachio nuts - 1 tbsp
  • almonds - 2 tbsp

How to Make Baked Rich Custard

  • Mix corn flour with 1/2 cup of milk.
  • Combine remaining milk with condensed milk and simmer till the mixture is reduced to its volume.
  • Add the corn flour mixture and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  • Cool till it is just warm.
  • Beat the eggs with yolks lightly.
  • Add cardamom and nutmeg powders and both the essences.
  • Pour the milk mixture on eggs.
  • Pour this in a baking dish and bake in a mode oven (170degrees centigrade).
  • Meanwhile blanch and slice the nuts.
  • When the custard is partially set, sprinkle nuts on top.
  • Continue to bake till the custard is set.
  • Cool the custard and keep in refrigerator.
  • Serve chilled.
