  • 10 oz - rigatoni Pasta
  • 2 cups - fresh marinara sauce
  • 1 cup - mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup - parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup - capsicum, finely diced
  • 2 tsp - dried Thyme leaves
  • 2 tsp - dried Basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp - Olive oil

How to Make Baked Rigatoni in Marinara Sauce

  • Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions.
  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Add chopped capsicum and cook until slightly tender.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Grease a square or rectangular baking dish or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Layer the cooked pasta in the dish, top it with sauteed capsicum, and gently pour the marinara sauce over it.
  • Top with parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
  • Sprinkle dried basil and thyme leaves.
  • Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20-25 mins until the pasta and sauce is cooked well and the cheese begins to melt.
  • Change the setting to Broil and cook for another 2 mins, just so the cheese on the top turns golden.
  • Remove from oven and cool.
  • Serve hot with garlic bread.
