  • Finely shredded fresh or canned bamboo shoots - 2 cups
  • Grated coconut - 1 cup
  • Green chillies - 2 tsp, minced
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 cup, minced
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Bamboo Shoot Kosumbari

  • Mix together, the bamboo shoots, green chillies and grated coconut.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add onion and fry till golden brown.
  • Add chilli and turmeric powders.
  • Add the bamboo-shoot mixture and cook stirring till the bamboo shoots are brown.
  • Serve.
