  • Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Dry Red Chillies - 3, broken into pieces
  • Finely sliced Onion - 2 cups
  • Finely chopped bamboo tips - 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Bamboo Shoot Upkari:

    1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds.
    2. When they splutter, add red chillies.
    3. Add onion and fry till golden brown.
    4. Add the bamboo shoots and salt.
    5. Cook without covering on low flame, stirring often till they are well roasted.
    6. Serve.
