Ingredients

  • 4 - ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup - ripe papaya, mashed
  • 1/4 tsp - nutmeg, ground
  • 250 g - granulated Sugar

How to Make Banana - Papaya Jam

  • In a heavy bottom pan or wok, place all ingredients together except nutmeg.
  • Boil it on low flame with spatula, skim all the foam that appears on the sides.
  • Stir continuously to avoid burning. It may take 20 minutes.
  • Add nutmeg powder.
  • Boil for more 5-6 minutes till mixture thickens and is free from any foam or bubbles.
  • Cool and store in sterilized bottles.
  • Store in refrigerator and it can be used for 2 months.
