How to Make Banana Curry

  • Grind cumin seeds and ginger to a paste.
  • Soak chana whole night in water.
  • Next morning boil in the water in which it was soaked till soft. Drain out the water and set aside.
  • Peel and slice bananas and potatoes.
  • Heat 3 tbsps oil and add bay leaves and panch-phoron.
  • When the mixture turns brown put in the potatoes and bananas and fry till they turn light golden in colour.
  • Add all the spices, salt, sugar, ginger paste and tomatoes and cook till dry.
  • Cover with water and cook till the vegetables are almost done, put in the chana and cook till the vegetables are done.
  • Remove from fire and mix in garam masala and pure ghee and serve hot.
