  • 4 to 5 - ripe Bananas
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1 tsp - Sugar per Banana
  • Sliced Cashewnuts
  • Sultanas
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • Cardamom powder or Saffron or Nutmeg powder for flavour (if Saffron is to be added, soak it in a little warm Milk for some time before adding)
  • 1/4 cup - Coconut powder or shreds
  • How to Make Banana Kaju Halwa:

    1. Slice bananas into medium thick coins.
    2. Put ghee in a pan and let it heat.
    3. Add the banana slices and fry till golden
    4. Add sugar and let it melt
    5. Add milk and coconut powder and stir it till it acquires the consistency of a thick gravy
    6. Add half the dry fruits and cardamom/saffron/nutmeg and stir again
    7. Allow it to cool and garnish with the remaining dry fruits before serving.
