Ingredients

  • 3 cups -Plain flour
  • 200g -Butter
  • 1/4 cup -Powdered Sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 tsp -Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1 tsp -White Vinegar
  • To sprinkle - 1 tbsp- Sesame seeds and shelled pistachios.

How to Make Barazik al sham

  • Cream the butter and sugar, then add the eggs, vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Sift the flour, sugar and baking powder, the vinegar and knead it into a dough.
  • Now wrap the dough in a cling film and chill for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
  • Now take the dough and divide into small balls.
  • Now flatten the balls sprinkle the sesame seeds on the top.
  • Turn it around and sprinkle the bottom with pistachios.
  • Place them in a baking tray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 mins or until slightly brown.
