Ingredients

  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 1.25 cups - flour
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/3 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of Cardamom

How to Make Basic Cake Recipe

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees centigrade.
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder and salt in a bowl and keep aside.
  • Mix butter and sugar well.
  • Add vanilla extract and eggs. Beat well.
  • Pour in cake tin and bake in the preheated oven approximately for 20 mins or till toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean.
