How to Make

  • Soak the rajma overnight.
  • Soak the urad for 1 hour
  • Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and saute the cloves, cinnamon, garlic, ginger and onion until pink
  • Now add the chilli, turmeric and cumin powders and saute
  • Then add the tomato and cook until it softens
  • Drain the rajma and urad and add to the mix in the pressure cooker
  • Add 3-4 cups of water and pressure cook for 25-30 mins
  • Let it stand for 10 mins
  • Now mash the dal lightly
  • Add butter, sugar and salt
  • Add water if required
  • Simmer for 5 minutes
  • Sprinkle the garam masala and garnish with malai.
