Ingredients

  • 250 g - red chilies (discard stalks)
  • 150 g - coriander
  • 50 g - pepper
  • 15 g - Channa dal
  • 35 g - toovar dal
  • 25 g - cumin
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - Asafoetida powder
  • How to Make Basic Rasam Powder:

    1. Roast red chilies with 1 Tbsp of oil.
    2. Roast all the ingredients from coriander to cumin without oil.
    3. Mix both together. Cool and grind to powder.
    4. Mix in turmeric and asafetida. Cool and store in an air tight container.
