  • Basmati Rice - 1 Cup
  • Milk - 3 Cups
  • Water - 1 Cup
  • Sugar - 2 Cups
  • Cashewnuts - 6
  • Raisins - 8
  • Cinnamon - 1

How to Make Basmati Rice Halwa

  • Soak the rice for 30 minutes and drain it.
  • In a thick pan boil the milk with water. When boiling starts, add the rice and cook it completely by reducing the stove to a low heat.
  • Stir the rice for two minutes initially, to avoid burning in the bottom of the pan.
  • When rice is completely cooked, add the prepared sugar syrup to the rice and stir well to avoid lumps.
  • Keep it for ten minutes on a low flame.
  • Serve it after 30 minutes
