Ingredients

  • fish slices - 1/2 kg
  • Maida (flour) - 1 cup
  • Onion - 2 tbsp, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tsp, minced
  • Green chillies - 2 tsp, minced
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt, pepper and Lime juice to taste
  • water as needed
  • oil to deep fry
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Batter Fried Fish:

    1. Season the fish slices with salt, pepper and lime juice.
    2. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
    3. Add salt to Maida.
    4. Add enough water to make a coating batter.
    5. Add rest of the ingredients except the oil.
    6. Coat fish with the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
    7. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
