Ingredients

  • fish slices - 1/2 kg
  • Maida (flour) - 1 cup
  • onion - 2 tbsp, minced
  • ginger - 1 tsp, minced
  • green chillies - 2 tsp, minced
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt, pepper and lime juice to taste
  • water as needed
  • oil to deep fry
  • salt to taste

How to Make Batter Fried Fish

  • Season the fish slices with salt, pepper and lime juice.
  • Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Add salt to Maida.
  • Add enough water to make a coating batter.
  • Add rest of the ingredients except the oil.
  • Coat fish with the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
  • Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
