Ingredients

  • 7 oz - bean sprouts
  • 6 cups - water
  • 1 - red or green chilli pepper
  • 1- green onion
  • 15 - dried anchovies or 10 dried shrimp
  • 1 tbsp - chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp - salt

How to Make Bean Sprout Soup

  • Clean bean sprouts.
  • Cut chilli pepper diagonally.
  • In a pan, pour 6 cups water and boil dried anchovies or dried shrimps for about 15 mins.
  • Take out anchovies or shrimps and discard.
  • Add bean sprouts and chilli pepper and boil for about 10 mins with lid on.
  • Add salt, and chopped garlic.
  • Boil for 5 mins and add green onion.
  • Take off heat, and serve in soup bowls.
