Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Bean sprouts
  • 1.5 cup - water
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1 tsp - grated Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp - spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp - oil
  • To taste - salt and pepper
  • How to Make Bean Sprouts (Bland):

    1. Boil the sprouts, so that they are done, but not soggy. Drain and spread on a plate.
    2. Mix the corn flour in 1/2 a cup of water.
    3. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger and fry for a minute.
    4. Add the remaining water (1 cup) and bring to a boil.
    5. Add the corn flour mixture, and stir till it comes back to a boil.
    6. Add the soya sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
    7. Pour thick gravy onto the bean sprouts.
    8. Sprinkle the chopped spring onion on top.
