Ingredients

  • Oil -For frying
  • 2 - Onions, chopped
  • 4 - Flakes Garlic
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 4 - Chillies, green
  • 3 sprigs - Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander powder
  • 1 - Large Tomato
  • 1 kg - Beef, small pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup - Water
  • 2 - Large potatoes, cut into cubes.

How to Make Beef and Potato degree Curry

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions until pink.
  • Then add the ginger, garlic, slit green chillies and curry leaves and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Now add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and continue to stir for 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomato slices and saute until the masala turns brown and the oil starts to separate.
  • Now add the beef and salt. Stir well for a few minutes and add water if needed.
  • Cover and cook for 4-5 mins. When half cooked, add the potato pieces.
  • Simmer until the beef is tender.
