Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - Beef cut into medium pieces
  • 2 - tomatoes, pureed
  • 3 - Cloves
  • 2 pieces - Cinnamon
  • 2 - Cardamoms
  • 2 - Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp - garlic-ginger paste
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - chopped, Mint leaves
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - potatoes, cut into 8 pieces.
  • How to Make Beef and Potatoes in Tomato Gravy:

    1. Wash the meat and the potatoes.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and add the onions, cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms, bay leaves, ginger and garlic paste.
    3. Fry for a few minutes.
    4. Add the meat and the chilli powder and mix well.
    5. Keep frying on low heat for some more time.
    6. Now add the tomatoes, salt, mint leaves, potatoes, and mix well.
    7. Add sufficient water and cook till the meat is done and the gravy is thick.
    8. If cooking in a pressure cooker turn off the heat after 6 whistles.
    9. Serve hot.
