Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp - Oil for frying
  • 2 - Medium onions, chopped
  • 3 sprigs - Curry leaves (Kadi patta) washed, cut and fried
  • 1.5 tbsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 - Medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - Pepper powder
  • 2 - Medium green chillies, slit
  • Salt
  • 500 gms - Beef boneless, cut into small pieces
  • Water for cooking
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour mixed with a little water
  • 1 cup - Onion leeks/ spring onions, chopped
  • 1 cup - Coconut milk (thick)
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves (kothmir), finely chopped, for garnish

How to Make Beef and Spring Onions

  • Heat oil in a pressure pan and saute onions till golden brown with curry leaves.
  • Add in ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, garam masala, pepper powder, green chillies and salt.
  • Saute for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  • Toss in the beef and fry on a low flame for 2 minutes.
  • Pour required water and cook covered.
  • Boil it with the corn flour mixture and spring onions and keep mixing it.
  • Pour in the coconut milk and allow it to simmer for 1 minute on a low flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot.
