Ingredients

  • 3 cup - Water
  • 1.5 kg - Beef
  • 10 - Cloves (lavang), ground
  • 2 - Cinnamon (dalchini), ground
  • Masala:
  • 5 - Medium onions, ground
  • 15 - Pepper corns, ground
  • 20 - Red Chillies (dry), ground
  • 1 tbsp - Jeera (cumin seeds), ground
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander (dhania), ground
  • 1 inch - Turmeric (haldi), ground
  • 3 tbsp - Vinegar
  • Green paste:
  • 6 - Medium green chillies, sliced
  • 2 pods - Garlic, sliced
  • 1 - Ginger (adhrak), sliced
  • 1 kg - Potatoes
  • 2 - Bay leaves
  • Salt

How to Make Beef Bafat

  • Cut and wash the meat into small pieces.
  • Grind the masala.
  • Mix meat, masala, cloves, cinnamon, salt and vinegar with water.
  • Cook for 1 hour, till the meat is tender
  • Add potatoes, sliced green paste and ghee.
  • Boil till everything is cooked.
