  • 1 kg - Beef tongue
  • Salt - to taste
  • 2 - eggs (beaten)
  • 3 tbsp - Vinegar (for stuffing)
  • Salt to taste (for stuffing)
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee (for stuffing)
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala (for stuffing)
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder (for stuffing)
  • 1 - Egg (for stuffing, hard boiled)
  • A few Mint leaves (for stuffing)
  • 1 slice - bread, (for stuffing)
  • 1 piece - Ginger (for stuffing)
  • 4 - medium Green chillies (for stuffing)
  • 4 - medium Onions (for stuffing)
  • How to Make Beef Tongue Roast with Stuffing:

    1. Stuffing:
    2. Cut bread into bits. Mince onions, green chillies, mint leaves and ginger.
    3. Brown the green masala in hot ghee.
    4. Then add bread pieces, shelled hard boiled egg, cut in to pieces, and spice powders.
    5. Add salt and vinegar to taste.
    6. This stuffing can be used for fish, vegetables or meat roast.
    7. Clean and wash the tongue. Pressure cook it with salt to taste, in sufficient water till it is very soft.
    8. Remove it from the pressure cooker and scrape off the skin.
    9. Cut it open lengthwise and flatten it thoroughly.
    10. Beat two eggs.
    11. Prepare stuffing.
    12. Apply the beaten egg on the flat open part.
    13. Place the stuffing then apply beaten egg and then bread crumbs.
    14. Heat ghee in a vessel.
    15. Place the tongue with the stuffed side up and cook for some time.
    16. Then remove the tongue into a baking dish and bake in the oven till the tongue and the stuffing has browned and cooked.
    17. Serve with meat gravy or sauce.
