Ingredients

  • 1 - beetroot, medium sized
  • 2 or 3 - green chillies
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch- of asafoetida
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - oil

How to Make Beetroot Chutney

  • Remove the skin and grate the beetroot.
  • In 1 tsp oil, roast mustard and asafoetida.
  • Grind green chillies, salt and coriander leaves with mustard seasoning and grated beetroot coarsely.
  • Mix well and add lime juice.
  • Serve with idli, dosa or variety rice.
