How to Make Bengali Style Pulao

  • Heat ghee, add bay leaves. When they splutter, add rice followed by dry red chillies and cook for 2 - 3 mins.
  • Add garam masala, nutmeg powder, saffron, dry fruits and add water.
  • Follow with sugar and salt and let the rice boil.
  • Cook until rice is done and no water is left. The water should get completely absorbed.
  • Sprinkle essence.
  • Serve hot.
