Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - onions, cut into thin slices
  • 175g - besan, sieve well
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • 2 tsp - chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Besan Aur Pyaz Ki Subzi (Onion fry with Besan)

  • In a wide pan, heat oil. Add sliced onions and fry on medium to low heat until it is light golden in colour.
  • Pour besan evenly with one hand and simultaneously stir it with a spatula with the other hand.
  • Mix it evenly - or else it may form lumps.
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to it. Mix all the ingredients well. Sprinkle 2 tbsp of water. Cover it with a lid and cook on low heat for 5 minutes until the besan is well coated and the colour changes.
  • Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot as a side dish with rotis.
