There is no one with a sweet tooth in the country who doesn’t love Laddoos. Of all the laddoos, the soft, melt-in-your-mouth besan laddoos are much loved. A very popular sweet dish, Besan Laddoo is made from gram flour or chickpea flour, ghee and sugar.

These healthy besan laddoos are usually made and served during religious occasions, family events and festivals across the country. Often, this simple besan ladoo has family recipes which are even passed down from generation to generation. This recipe for making super delicious Besan Laddoo is very easy to follow. Besan Ladoos are made in different variations: in Marathi style, punjabi style and so on.

How to make this lovely ladoo? Firstly, the besan is finely sieved and kept aside and then roasted in ghee in a pan until it takes on a golden-brown colour with an enhanced, nutty aroma. After cutting small pieces of almonds and cashew nuts, add them to this roasted besan. These condiments augment the taste of the laddoo and are heavenly to taste when you bite into the finished laddoo.
