Ingredients

  • Besan- 2 tbsp
  • potatoes - 1/2 kg
  • onions(medium sized)- 4
  • ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves - 5 to 6
  • urad dal - 1/2 tbsp
  • channa dal - 1/2 tbsp
  • mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • green chillies - 2
  • cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste

How to Make Besan Potato Curry

  • Cut onions into thin slices. Pressure cook potatoes and onions with 3 whistles. Peel the potatoes.
  • Put oil in a sauce pan.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, seeds, dal, turmeric and green chillies.
  • Now add cooked onions and potatoes and fry for a while.
  • In another bowl, take besan and make a paste with water.
  • Add this paste to the slightly fried mixture. Add salt.
  • Cook till everything gets blended well.
  • Finally garnish with coriander.
  • Serve hot with pooris.
