Ingredients

  • 1 - Carrot
  • 1/2 - Cabbage
  • 5 to 6 - Beans (optional)
  • Ginger-size of a gooseberry
  • 5 pods - Garlic
  • 2 - Green Chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup - Boiled Rice
  • 1 - Onion (finely chopped)

How to Make Bharath Rice

  • Grind ginger, garlic and green chillies to a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Fry the onions till golden brown
  • Add the ground mixture and fry till the raw smell is gone
  • Add the chopped vegetables and salt and cook till soft
  • Add the rice to the above mixture
  • Add pepper and mix it well before serving
  • Serve hot with potato chips and Onion raita.
