Ingredients

  • 500g Chicken
  • 100g Yoghurt
  • 40g Garlic
  • 40g Red Chillies whole
  • 5g Green Cardamom
  • 5g Cinnamon
  • 5g Clove
  • 50ml Refined Oil
  • 10g Cumin seeds
  • 10g Turmeric powder
  • 50g Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Bhuna kukda:

    1. Clean and wash chicken and keep it aside.
    2. Soak red chillies in lukewarm water for 30 mins. Grind garlic, red chillies, cloves, green cardamoms, cinnamon and turmeric powder to a fine paste.
    3. Apply the prepared masala and salt to the chicken and keep it for marinating for 2 hours.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add marinated chicken and stir fry on high flame.
    5. When all the moisture has evaporated, mix in beaten yogurt and little water and continue cooking on high flame.
    6. Stir fry till all moisture has evaporated and chicken has cooked.
    7. Check for seasoning and stir fry till the masala coats the chicken.
    8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
